Fabrizio Romano: Man City 'medical today' with £12.8m 'deal done' as Italian report claims Man Utd have made Zirkzee decision

Man City have been active in the transfer market so far this season, as Pep Guardiola aims to build a side capable of challenging for the Premier League title again next season against the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.
City have already signed midfielder Tijani Reijnders, defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, and attacker Rayan Cherki, and it now seems that they have added another talent in midfield who is one for the future.

Man City secure Sverre Nypan
After adding Reijnders from AC Milan in midfield, Guardiola has not stopped there when looking to strengthen in the middle of the park, as City have reportedly secured the signing of Norwegian youngster Sverre Nypan, who plays for Rosenborg.
According to Fabrizio Romano on X, Nypan landed in Manchester yesterday, and will undergo medical tests before confirming his move to the Etihad. A deal worth €15m has been done, which works out at around £12.8m.
Man City weren’t the only Premier League team to show an interest in the 18-year-old, as Arsenal have been previously linked. More recently, Aston Villa were said to have made an approach for Nypan too, but it seems as though the Norwegian youngster has chosen to come to Manchester and play under Guardiola instead.

The Norwegian links could help him develop a strong partnership with Erling Haaland, who is looking for someone new to provide him with goal scoring chances following the departure of Kevin De Bruyne.
Man United make Joshua Zirkzee decision
Meanwhile, Manchester United have made a decision regarding the future of Joshua Zirkzee, who struggled to find consistent form in his first season at Old Trafford after he joined from Bologna for £36.5m.
According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, United are opting to keep Zirkzee, despite previous reports suggesting that they would be willing to sell him. There had been reported interest from Italian clubs, but it seems the Dutchman is set to stay at Old Trafford.

However, despite Zirkzee staying, the same report says that Inter Milan wants to buy Rasmus Hojlund, so it could be that the Red Devils decide to sell Hojlund and keep hold of Zirkzee. The Danish international also struggled last term, scoring four goals in 32 Premier League games.
