Manchester City have shown off their 2023/24 home shirt.

Manchester City have released their 2023/24 home jersey, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of the club’s move to the Etihad.

City left their previous home of Maine Road in 2003 and moved to the new, state-of-the-art stadium in Eastlands which was built when Manchester hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2002. “This move marked the start of a new era for the club, defined by new records, new legends, and moments of greatness,” the club’s press release said.

The 2023/24 jersey is said to be a ‘celebration’ of the Etihad and features the ground’s postcode on the back of the neck.

“The front graphic of the new Home jersey is inspired by the unique architecture of the Etihad Stadium, in particular the four giant turrets visible from the outside of the stadium that form tonal stripes on the jersey,” said City.

“The new home and the jersey features a white V-neck collar that is inspired by the first kit used in the new stadium, the 2003/04 home jersey.”

The new home shirt also has ‘cutting-edge technology to provide optimal performance and comfort on the pitch’ and the replica version is made from 100% recycled polyester. The jersey is available to purchase now from the club’s website.

As part of the new kit launch, first-team players Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez and Erling Haaland have been pictured wearing the jersey, as well as Ellie Roebuck, Laura Coombs from the women’s team.
