Manchester City had two players in the XI from last weekend.

Manchester City put in one of the standout performances of the weekend in the Premier League as they beat Liverpool 4-1 at the Etihad.

Despite going behind to an early Mohamed Salah strike, the champions responded emphatically with Julian Alvarez equalising before the break, while goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish in the second period wrapped up all three points.

Unsurprisingly, their excellent display saw a few City players included in WhoScored’s Team of the Week. Every event of importance is taken into account, with a positive or negative effect on ratings weighted in relation to its area on the pitch and its outcome.”

Unai Emery’s side beat Chelsea 2-0 and put in a superb defensive showing to keep the Blues at bay. Four Villa players were selected in the WhoScored XI, while Newcastle United and Brentford also are represented in the team. Here’s the full XI…
