Manchester City could enter this summer as history-makers if they manage to secure a fourth straight Premier League title come May. Pep Guardiola has overseen an unprecedented level of success at the Etihad and after beating Manchester United 3-1 on Sunday, remains the favourite to lift the trophy once again.
City's relentless success has been made possible by their ability to tweak and improve the squad each summer, strengthening in key areas while those around them attempt large-scale rebuilds. It will likely be the same this year and while there won't be loads of incomings, those that do arrive will likely have a massive impact.
There is also the chance that City use this summer to offload some of their older players, or those who have made clear their desire to seek a new challenge. With all that in mind, ManchesterWorld has put together a potential starting-XI and substitutes bench based on transfer links.
