Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal 'hold talks' to sign €100m ace dubbed 'most gifted player' by England star

Premier League heavyweights Manchester City have reportedly kickstarted discussions over a potential swoop for highly-rated Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo.
The Sky Blues are in the market for further attacking reinforcements this summer to boost their title chances next season after a disappointing campaign which has seen the team fall 18 points behind newly crowned champions Liverpool with three games to spare.

The great City teams of the past have been blessed with goalscorers from wide areas, with the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden all getting into double figures in recent seasons. But could Rodrygo follow in their footsteps? Here’s the latest.
Unhappy Rodrygo could seek Real Madrid exit
TBR Football reporter Graeme Bailey understands the Cityzens have held talks with Rodrygo’s representatives ahead of a potential push to sign the 24-year-old this summer.
However, they are not the only club in the market for the talented Brazil international, with beaten Champions League semi-finalists Arsenal and league winners Liverpool also making enquiries about the player’s availability.

Rodrygo has played 50 times this season across all competitions, scoring 13 times and providing 10 assists. However, he wants assurance from the new manager about his place in the team and will reportedly seek a transfer if he feels that it is uncertain.
What would Rodrygo bring to Manchester City?
Rodrygo joined Real Madrid from Brazilian side Santos in 2019 despite strong competition from then Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who wanted to sign him at the time, according to TBR Football.
The Brazilian winger has slotted beautifully into the team at Real Madrid and has an impressive record of 68 goals and 50 assists across 267 appearances, winning three league titles, two Spanish Cups and two Champions League honours at just 24 years of age. He’s a direct attacker with great pace, technical qualities and the versatility and intelligence to play in all areas of a front three.

“We’ll be messing around and he’ll flick the ball up somehow and you’ll be like, ‘How did you do that?
“Another thing to mention is that he is the one that sacrifices the most. I think it’s clear that his favourite position is the left but it’s important to note that he does a lot for the team, defensively as well, on the right-hand side.”
Spanish outlet Fichajes backs up the claims that City and Liverpool are interested in the forward but also throws Champions League finalists PSG into the mix as strong contenders to make a move for the attacker, valued at around €100 million.
