Manchester City are reported to have a strong transfer interest in Xavi Simons - but they could face tough competition if they were to make a move.

City, Manchester United and Arsenal are among three clubs to have been credited with an interest in the French media. They claim ‘contact’ has been made with his club, PSG. Another club linked are German giants Bayern Munich.

If he were to depart Paris, then a loan move could be on the cards for the Holland international, who plays as an attacking midfielder and out wide.

Sky Sports report: “Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal are among the clubs to have contacted Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of Xavi Simons, according to L'Equipe. Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the 21-year-old, but PSG are not planning on selling the forward this summer and intend to loan him out again.

“Simons spent last term on loan at RB Leipzig, scoring 10 goals and registering 15 assists.”
