and live on Freeview channel 276
A host of Manchester City players have been called up by their respective countries so far ahead of the start of the World Cup next week. All eyes will be fixed on Qatar with the first game of the tournament being held on 20th November as the hosts take on Ecuador.
England manager Gareth Southgate named his squad this week and five of Pep Guardiola’s side have been included with John Stones, Kyle Walker, Kalvin Phillips, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish all making the cut. Portugal’s team is also sprinkled with the quality of Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias, while Spain have included Aymeric Laporte and Rodri on their roster.

Defensive pair Nathan Ake for the Netherlands and Manuel Akanji for Switzerland have also been called up as they both look to show what they can do on the international stage.
A few players have missed out though. Summer signing Stefan Ortega, who was called up as a reserve option for Germany for Euro 2020 before being withdrawn, will not be going with Germany. Full-back Sergio Gomez isn’t in Spain’s squad either but that isn’t a huge surprise considering he is yet to earn a senior cap. Julian Alvarez was also named in Argentina’s team, along with former City man Nicolas Otamendi.
Norway and Algeria didn’t qualify so Erling Haaland and Riyah Mahrez will be watching from afar, along with the likes of Cole Plamer and Rico Lewis.
