Manchester City will already have their eyes on next weekend's huge Premier League clash with Arsenal. Pep Guardiola's men are currently one point behind leaders Liverpool and second placed Arsenal, making this a crucial clash.
Guiardiola's men cannot afford to lose this one, but they will have home advantage at the Etihad Stadium. We have just over a week until the big kick-off, but in the meantime, we have taken an early look at the likely City starting XI as Guardiola sits tight, hoping none of his key men return from international duty with an injury. 1. GK - Ederson
Ederson is touch and go to be fit. City will be hoping the break will be enough to get him back, if not, Ortega will slot in again.
2. CB - Nathan Ake
Ake should come back in to the defence after sitting out the cup clash.
3. CB - Manuel Akanji
Akanji is a likely starter at cente-back.
4. CB - Kyle Walker
The back three worked swell against Liverpool's 4-3-3, so City may well do the same against Arsenal. Walker could form part of the back three again. Gvardiol is another option.
