"I'm excited to get going again given what last season ended like" said the 31-year-old.

"I'm ready to go again and I'm grateful I've been given the opportunity to keep doing what I love doing. Last year was one of the most difficult seasons I've had with injury, illness and a life changing moment as well. It's good to get that reset button and I'm ready to go again and kick on.

"This summer I have a good chunk of time where I can work on myself, my weakness and work on my strengths and push on".

Stoke also admitted she was happy to have her future secured after starting a family last year with her partner.

"I think I've always had City as my home and Manchester as my home so it was a no brainer. To be able to stay here and extend and be around for the family makes me happy.

"I'm just grateful I can continue my career here and my journey here".
