Manchester City’s summer transfer window is hotting up as it approaches the end of June, with plenty of reports of incomings and outgoings.
To date, Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez have been confirmed as their sole summer arrivals, with Stefan Ortega also expected to arrive soon.
Here are the latest transfer rumours surrounding City…
Chelsea set to make Sterling bid
They add the Blues ‘formally approached’ City on Monday regarding a transfer that could cost them around £55m.
A deal may even be wrapped up this week after Sterling held positive talks with Thomas Tuchel, with the Mail reporting all three parties are open to securing a transfer.
Brighton hope to keep Cucurella
According to BBC Sport, Brighton & Hove Albion have ‘no interest’ in selling left-back Marc Cucurella and are in a ‘very strong bargaining position’ given he has four years remaining on his contract.
The 23-year-old joined the Seagulls from Getafe last summer and impressed in his maiden Premier League campaign, so much so that he’s caught the attention of the English champions.
BBC Sport add it would take a ‘sizeable offer’ to secure Cucurella’s services and that Pep Guardiola is keen to add a left-back to his squad this summer.
Mahrez set for new deal
There are ‘plans to open talks’ with Riyad Mahrez regarding a new contract, as reported in the Sun.
The winger only has a year remaining on his current deal, leading to speculation he could leave City this summer or next.
But the Sun say he is settled in Manchester and City are ‘confident’ an extension will be agreed with the Algerian.
