Man City and Man Utd Premier League title hopes compared to Liverpool and Arsenal - gallery

Where are Manchester City and Manchester United predicted to finish in this season's Premier League table?

There are contrasting moods on either side of Manchester as United and City strive for success in a number of competitions.

The Red Devils currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League ahead of what will be a tricky visit to top four rivals Newcastle United on Saturday night. The Magpies have already inflicted a defeat on Erik ten Hag's side this season after claiming a 3-0 win in a Carabao Cup tie at Old Trafford and another win would heighten the concern enveloping the 13-time Premier League champions.

By contrast, Pep Guardiola's City are sat firmly in the title race and are just a point adrift of leaders Arsenal as they look to claim a fourth consecutive title. A home clash against Spurs on Sunday will provide another stern test of their credentials.

But where are the Manchester rivals predicted to finish in the Premier League table?  After simulating 10,000 different versions of the current Premier League season ahead of the weekend fixtures, BetVictor's supercomputer has averaged the total points accumulated by each club and produced a new predicted final table.
