National League North side Curzon Ashton will be hoping to make the second round of the FA Cup for the third time when they host Nigel Clough’s Mansfield Town.

The sixth-tier side will have to beat a team from three divisions above them, to repeat the feat they achieved in 2008-09 and 2016-17.

Elsewhere, Stockport County hope to make the second round for the fifth successive season when they host National League Forest Green Rovers. Struggling Salford City host League One Shrewsbury Town while Bolton Wanderers travel to fourth-placed League Two side Walsall.

In other ties, in-form Rochdale host struggling League Two side Bromley, Oldham Athletic boss Micky Mellon returns to his former club Tranmere Rovers and Wigan Athletic travel to Carlisle to face the side bottom of League Two.

Altrincham just missed out on a spot in the first-round proper when they were knocked out in the fourth qualifying round on penalties after a 2-2 draw in their replay at Solihull Moors on Tuesday night.

The pick of the first ties will see AFC Wimbledon travel to MK Dons. Wimbledon eased past their arch rivals 3-0 in a League Two clash earlier this season. The lowest-ranked side left in the competition is Northern Premier League Hednesford Town. After beating National League Gateshead 3-1 in Tuesday’s replay, they have a home against Gainsborough Trinity.

The ties will be played between Friday 1 and Monday 4 November.
