We look back 10 years on from the sad demolition of iconic Greater Manchester nightclub Wigan Pier

The legendary nightclub was one of the go-to places in the whole country with ravers coming from far and wide to sample one of their iconic nights. However it’s already a decade since the bulldozers moved in.

The venue fell victim to complaints about late night noise from residents who had moved into new Trencherfield Mill apartments nearby. Check out our gallery from just before the bulldozers moved in, with a couple of those seminal nights chucked in for good measure.
