Harry Maguire is a football player from Sheffield who currently plays for Manchester United.

He is the current captain of the club, and has been almost ever present in the side since joining from Leicester City in 2019.

He started his career at hometown club Sheffield United before moving to Hull City in 2014.

Maguire played alongside future Champions League winning defender Andy Robertson, and his performances earned him a move to midlands club Leicester City.

The pressure and spotlight has rarely been away from Maguire, this is partially as a result of the huge £80 million sum he was transferred to Old Trafford for.

In his time at the club, he has played 143 matches and scored seven goals. He played in the 2021 Europa League final, a match which United ultimately ended up losing on penalties to Spanish side Villerreal.

For England, Maguire has been a regular during a period of renaissance for the English national side.

He has helped his country reach the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the final of the 2020 European Championships.

Maguire scored his first goal for England during the route to the semi final at the 2018 World Cup, this was in a 2-0 win in the quarter finals against Sweden.

In the final against Italy, Maguire converted his penalty in a shoot-out; a penalty shootout which ended in defeat for England.
