All female wine tasting showcasing women of the wine world heading to Spinningfields

An all female wine tasting series continues at Spinningfields bar Provence this month.

The series will be dedicated to the women of the wine world, showcasing some of the best wines from female wine entrepreneurs.

Guests will receive five glasses of wine to try including:

• A smooth Clavel Cotes du Rhone with notes of red fruits and a touch of cacao from Claire Clavel – with an astonishing pedigree, Claire’s family has been making wine since 1640, and Claire is a member of Femmes Vignes Rhône, a unique wine-cellar managed by women winemakers

• A bright and refreshingly light Castlenau Champagne, with the process managed by Carine Bailleul, one of a handful of female cellar masters in the world of Champagne

• A dry and fruity Sea Change Riesling, by Tina Pfaffmann, who adjusts and adapts her wine to reflect the ever-changing elements of nature

Plus, a full-bodied and velvety Merlot D’Addario Malbec, and a fresh and fruity Reserva de la Herre Rose (a delicious combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot)

In addition to the five wine variations, guests will also receive a Provence charcuterie sharing board, including a selection of breads, cheese, charcuterie meats, olives and vegetarian antipasti for £45 per person.

Hosted by female, wine aficionado and sommelier, Felicity Wattam, Provence’s no-nonsense approach to wine ensures the calendar of tasting events are easily accessible, with guests welcome to sit back, relax and ask any questions.

The ‘Women-Owned Wines’ event will take place on Thursday, August 31

The wine series will continue on the last Thursday of every month throughout 2023, with the next event, ‘Around the World’, taking place on Thursday September 28.
