I’m A Celebrity 2021: Sir Alex Ferguson revealed as close friend of Danny Miller’s father Vince

I’m a Celebrity and Emmerdale star Danny Miller’s father, Vince Miller is good friends with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Danny has excelled in the early stages of I’m a Celebrity and is now one of the favourites to win.

The nation sat and watched as Danny chomped on some gruesome dishes including a shake of fermented tofu, to win maximum stars for his fellow ‘the clink’ campmates.

The Emmerdale actor rose to stardom as Aaron Dingle, portraying some hard hitting storylines such as coming to terms with his sexuality, assisting a suicide and has won the British Soap Award for Best Actor on three occasions in 2011, 2012 and 2016. He first joined the soap in 2008 and has recently sparked speculation he may be leaving The Dales behind.

His long affiliation with one of the nation’s most love soap’s, the 30-year-old’s father is also rather famous, and you may not have heard of him yet.

His father is popular Manchester entertainer, Vince Miller.

Despite being a Manchester City fan, Vince was the VIP host at Manchester United for almost three decades, and was dubbed ‘king of comperes’ over his 29-year stint in the role.

Due to his tenure at the iconic Old Trafford, Vince was a popular member on the red half of Manchester, and counted United legend Sir Alex Ferguson among his close friends.

He managed to forge a good bond with Sir Alex when he would regularly interview him, as well as other United legends for fans enjoying corporate hospitality on matchdays.

Mr Miller’s famous friends only begins with the former Aberdeen and Manchester United manager, as Vince, who hails from Stockport as does his son, Danny, worked with Johnny Mathis and Shirley Bassey.

Later that year, as a charity fundraiser organised by his son, Vince announced his retirement after a very successful 65-year-career that saw him rub shoulder with some of the UK’s most famous and recognisable faces.

Upon his retirement, his son Danny claimed he was the best in the business.
