Blue Monday: How people in Manchester keep happy in January

Today (Monday 16 January )is Blue Monday, which usually falls on the third Monday in January, and is supposed to represent the time when people are at their most fed up, whether it be from dark days and nights, wintry weather or the comedown after Christmas fun.

The concept was first invented by a travel firm, no doubt to sell holidays, but January can stills be a tough month for some people and we took to the streets of Manchester to find out some top tips from folk on what they do to beat the blues and ward off those dreaded Sunday night scaries.
