Manchester United‘s chiefs will already be working on summer plans as they look to bridge the gap from top four to Premier League title contenders.

The Red Devils managed steady improvements under Erik ten Hag this season, but they will want to be competing with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League sooner rather than later. New signings will be required to make that happen, and United are expected to bring in fresh blood this summer after taking a reserved approach in January.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news surrounding Old Trafford.

Lindelof decision

United are said to be determinded to keep Victor Lindelof ahead of next season despite claims the Sweden international wanted to move on.

Fabrizio Romano has tweeted: “Erik ten Hag has never changed position on Victor Lindelöf — he’s untouchable. Same message sent to Atlético & Inter last January still valid now. Eintracht were never in concrete talks with Man United. Atlético and Inter were keen on signing him but no chance.”

Lindelof saw increased action towards the end of the season, and it seems he still has a role to play.

Maguire stance

In contract, United are sait to be keen to offload Harry Maguire over the course of the summer, but there is a problem.

The £80million signing has struggled to win over fans at Old Trafford, and Ten Hag does not appear to be a fan of keeping him, despite largely defending Maguire in public. TalkSPORT are reporting, however, that Maguire does not want to leave United this summer, and that he may put up a fight to stay.

The report claims United specificanlly want to sell Maguire to raise funds to sign Napoli centre-back Kim min-Jae, who is in-demand.
