Manchester United are now preparing for Thursday night’s clash with Chelsea.

The Red Devils need just one point from their remaining two games to secure a Champions League spot for next season, but as Erik ten Hag is keen to point out, there is still work to be done. Once the job is done, United can then concentrate on preparing for the FA Cup final, when they will face Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

Ahead of a busy couple of weeks for Ten Hag’s men, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding Old Trafford.

Frimpong claims

Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong could be on his way to Old Trafford.

According to SportBILD, the Dutchman will be moving to United at the end of this season. It’s claimed Leverkusen will have a rebuild this summer, with a number of players set to depart. The report goes on to explain that United’s deal to sign Frimpong is ‘advanced’, with the Red Devils needing to strengthen at right-back.

It looked as though Aaron Wan-Bissaka would be the man going forward, but his form has tailed off a little, seemingly leading Ten Hag to decide to find a replacement.

Elsewhere, United are said to be going after a deal to sign Juventus star Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer.

Rabiot is set to leave Juve on a free transfer due to his contract expiring, and the Old Lady’s current form is not about to convince him to stay. United are said to be interested, and Fabrizio Romano has provided an update.

“There have been contacts as Manchester United are interested again in Adrien Rabiot. There is no official bid, and Juventus have also made Rabiot a proposal over a new contract, so the player will decide his future soon.”
