Manchester Half Marathon is one of the most popular in the UK and it’s back on the running calendar in 2023.

The race takes place on Sunday 15 October 2023. The final route has to be fully confirmed, but as a guide, last year’s half started near Old Trafford, similar to the full Manchester Marathon, and into the city centre, back out towards Stretford, Sale and Chorlton, before ending at Talbot Road.

Entries are now open for the half marathon, whether you want to enter as an individual or a team, and you can register via the race’s official website here. Individual entry costs from £37.50, or £35.50 for UKA affiliated athletes, and you can also enter with a friend to receive a discount. You can alternatively opt to fundraise for one of the race’s partner charities - entry is then free but you must commit to raising a minimum amount of money for one of the charities which includes the Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK and The Christie.

All runners must be aged 17 or older on the day of the race, and race packs are sent out around a month before the half marathon.
