Romeo Beckham played a cameo role as his Inter Miami side were convincingly beaten 6-0 at home to La Liga outfit Barcelona, who kicked off their United States tour against the club owned by David Beckham.

Barcelona now switch their attention to the weekend as they face bitter rivals Real Madrid in Las Vegas on Sunday, 24 July, Juventus in Texas on Wednesday, 27 July and New York Red Bulls in New York on Sunday 31 July before heading back to Spain.

He wasn’t the only famous football offspring as Phil Neville’s son, Harvey Neville, also enjoyed a cameo role.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid winger wasn’t present to witness his son’s performance against the Blaugrana, who fielded superstars such as Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Beckham has impressed for the Inter Miami second team, and now will be hoping to make the step up as he seriously pursues a professional football career.
