In a mission to get more children into reading, Read Manchester has launched a new interactive story trail at Wythenshawe Park in partnership with the National Literacy Trust and Manchester City Council and supported by Mantec Engineering.

The trail follows a bespoke story written and illustrated by Ian Morris from Manchester. Ian is the illustrator of The Library Book, written by Gabby Dawnay and published by Thames & Hudson.

Families will make their way around the Park solving literacy clues as they go. At the end of the trail lies a Little Free Library where families can pick up a free book to take home with them.

The Little Free Library has been created by Manchester Library Trail and a group of local volunteers and has been designed in the shape of Wythenshawe Hall.

Booklets are available for families to pick up from The Courtyard café during opening hours.
