Woman sexually assaulted on bus between Stockport and Manchester Airport

Police say the attack happened on the 313 Stagecoach bus, and have issued an image of a man they would like to speak to as part of the investigation.

Police in Stockport have issued an image of a man they believe may have vital information, after a woman was sexually assaulted on a bus.

A 21-year-old woman reported she had been assaulted after catching the 313 Stagecoach bus from Stockport town centre towards Manchester Airport on Friday 18 February.

PC Jim Felton, of GMP’s Stockport district, said: “The woman was sitting at the rear on the lower deck when a man approached her and struck up a conversation before sexually assaulting her.

“We would like to speak to the man in the photo as we believe he may have vital information to assist our investigation.”
