Woman dies after horrific car accident on Haddon Hall Road in Manchester

It is believed the accident happened after an elderly driver lost control of his vehicle in Droylsden.

A woman has died after a road collision on a Manchester street.

Police were called to Haddon Hall Road in Droylsden at around 12.15pm on Thursday (21 October).

It is believed a man in his 70s lost control of his vehicle and collided with three pedestrians.

Emergency services attended but despite the best efforts of paramedics a woman, one of the pedestrians, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other female pedestrians have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.

No arrests have been made.
