What’s missing in Manchester? Local people have their say on what they would like to see in the city

Manchester is home to huge tourist attractions, such as the Science and Industry Museum, football stadiums Old Trafford and the Etihad and, of course, the many theatres around the city centre and beyond.

When it comes to shops, we have plenty of options dotted around our streets, inside the Arndale and the Trafford Centre. But over the years some big department stores have been lost like Debenhams, and more high rise apartment blocks have been built around the city.

We asked people in Manchester what they think is missing from the local area and what they would like to see in the city centre.
