Yellow weather warning for snow and sleet in Greater Manchester

Here’s a breakdown of the weather warnings in place for Manchester, and what we can expect this week.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow in Greater Manchester on Thursday (6 January).

The warning is in place between 10am and 4pm today, with temperatures set to be a little above freezing this morning.

Sleet showers are predicted from late morning in Oldham, Tameside, Bury and Rochdale according to the alert with the possibility of snow on hilly ground.
