October is here and despite an initial change in weather, Manchester may be in store for a t least a couple more milder days. A chilly and wet start to the week could look far different by the time the weekend comes around.

A drizzly start to the week is set to continue until Friday (October 6) and by then the temperatures will have risen. October 3 saw a high of 15C in Manchester, but this will rise to 19C by Friday.

Despite the rise in temperatures, there won’t be much in the way of sunshine until the weekend. Rain can be expected on October 3 as well as Thursday (October 5).

Friday will be a dry day for much of the region, and there will potentially be no more rain until at least next week. Saturday (October 7) is when Manchester could experience sunshine and temperatures of over 20C.

A high of 21C is in the Met Office forecast for Saturday, with the sunniest part of the day expected to be early afternoon. This will continue into Sunday, and will be temperatures of around 20C to round off the week.
