Manchester woke up to a cloudy and cold moning morning today (March 10), but will see a sunny day and slightly warmer as clouds clear around lunchtime. A yellow weather warning for snow has been issued by the Met Office until 2pm today, with a warning for snow and ice in place from 3pm Saturday to 6am Sunday.
The UK Health Security Agency has issued a Level 3 Cold Weather Alert for the whole of England.

Hide AdDr Agostinho Sousa, head of extreme events and health protection at the UK Health Security Agency, said: “During periods like this, it is important to check in on family, friends and relatives who may be more vulnerable to the cold weather, as it can have a serious impact on health.
If you have a pre-existing medical condition or are over the age of 65, it is important to try and heat your home to at least 18°C if you can.’’
