Manchester is set for several more days of subzero temperatures, the Met Office has confirmed. While many of the country’s yellow weather warnings are about to expire , the weather will continue to be very cold and is set to last until the weekend with some sleet forecast.
Monday (December 12) starts off very cold in places with ice, frost and freezing fog, but the yellow weather warning in place for ice and fog is set to lift at 11.00am. The day will continue mostly sunny and dry once the fog has lifted. Maximum temperature will not exceed 1 °C.

The freezing fog will most likely linger into Tuesday before lifting into low clouds to make way for a mostly dry and sunny but cold day. Temperatures will most likely not exceed 3°C.
As the week continues, the weather will continue in the same way. Cold nights will lead to overnight frost and fog which will clear up during the day for mostly dry and very sunny but cold days with some chances of wintry showers, especially along the coast.
Towards the weekend, Manchester could however see some slightly milder weather, as temperatures are looking to rise towards 5°C. Sunday is however looking to be accompanied by some sleet by late morning.
