Manchester Met Office weather forecast: warmer temperatures predicted for the region- but rain is coming

Manchester is set to bask in sunny weather this week, with temperatures well into double figures. Today will be particularly lovely, with bright skies accompanying the warm conditions.

The high temperature in Manchester today is set to be 16°C. This will be at its warmest by around 3pm.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week, the sunny skies are set to continue on both April 19 and 20. There may be a slight drop in temperature, but this should still reach a peak of around 14°C.

Friday (April 21) will see a big shift in conditions. Scattered showers and cooler temperatures will create a stark contrast to the start of the week. 

The weekend will be slightly drier, with Sunday (April 23) set to be dry but cloudy. The trend of cooler temperatures will continue into the new week. 

Met Office forecast for Greater Manchester 

April 18

A fine and dry day with a good deal of sunshine once any cloud in the east has cleared through the morning. A warm day, though cooler later in the strengthening breeze. Maximum temperature 16°C.

Plenty of late evening sunshine with clear skies overnight. A cooler night with perhaps a local rural frost in the most prone spots. Remaining rather breezy. Minimum temperature 4°C.

April 19

Another fine and bright day with plenty of lengthy sunny spells. Feeling warm in the sunshine and in any sheltered spots away from the breeze. Maximum temperature 14°C.

Staying mostly dry on Thursday with some sunny spells, though rather breezy. An increasing chance of showers and outbreaks of rain developing on Friday and Saturday and remaining breezy.
