September is here and with it, high temperatures and sunny skies for Manchester. After a disappointing summer of weather, it feels as though there’s some making up to do.

September 7 was declared the hottest day of the year so far by the Met Office. This is likely to be challenged as we approach the weekend.

The week has been very hot across the region, with regular temperatures of 25C and up the norm. This is set to continue into the weekend but will cool as we reach the new week.

The rain should continue to stay away, making for some great days to be out and about.

On Thursday September 7, glorious skies have again made for a hot day across Manchester, with the high temperature being 28C.

Friday September 8 will see a few clouds come into the equation, and this will lead to a different, slightly muggier warm feeling. The high temperature of 26C will still, however, equate to t-shirt and shorts weather.

September 9 will see the high temperature dip to a still lovely 26C. There should also be plenty of clear skies, making for a cooler day.

Sunday September 10 will see another drop in high temperature to a maximum of around 21C. The cooler conditions could also being some rain showers.

The new week might be somewhat of a reality check, with temperatures dropping to around 17C on Wednesday September 13.
