The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms from Sunday (June 25, 2023) afternoon and into the evening.

With temperatures expected to reach a sweltering 26C in Manchester today, weather experts have warned that thunderstorms are likely to develop during the day.

Mancunians are also being warned to expect lightning strikes, localised flooding, difficult driving conditions and the possibility of some power cuts during the storm.
