The wet and windy weather is set to ease off across Greater Manchester next week. However, this isn’t before one more period of showers.

Rain is set to be a mainstay of the forecast until at least this afternoon, with showers set to hit most of Greater Manchester’s boroughs. According to the Met Office, one area of the region could see some wintry showers too.

People in Oldham may see some sleet showers in the early stages of the afternoon. This could lead to some further unpleasant conditions if you’re out and about.

The rain and any sleet showers should fade through the weekend and the new week is set to be dry and warmer. By next weekend (March 9-10) temperatures across Greater Manchester could be up at around 8/9C.
