Weather in Manchester today with five-day Met forecast as snow hits city-region

Greater Manchester enjoyed a weekend of welcome sunshine with the mercury getting up as high as 18c- but sadly it couldn’t last forever.

Cloudy conditions and rain showers returned on Wednesday and om Thursday we saw wintry snow showers sprinkle Oldham, Tameside and some parts of Manchester, later clearing for sunny spells. Expect more freezing temperatures overnight into Friday morning.

Throughout the week it will feel windy at times and it looks like the sunny weather we’ve had recently was not an early sign of spring, with snowy conditions forecast on Saturday and highs of 6C and lows of zero.
