TV star Jeremy Vine has called for a change in the urban traffic system and has said the overtaking of bicycles by cars in big cities should be banned. The popular TV personality says the decrease in speed limits in towns and cities has reached a point where it's more practical for motorists to may way for cyclists.

Vine - who is an avid cyclist - also proposed that drivers pull over to allow cyclists to pass if they see them in their rear-view mirrors.

We went out on the streets of Manchester to ask Mancunians their thoughts for our video report.
