Metrolink warning with no trams to run through Deansgate-Castlefield - full details of disruption
Repair work means that no trams will operate through Deansgate-Castlefield this Sunday.
Maintenance will take place to rectify an issue with the tracks at the popular city centre tram stop. During the work, there will be no services through this part of the network.
This means that there will be disruption to Metrolink services throughout the day. Transport for Greater Manchester has announced a bus replacement service will be in place to limit disruption. The disruption to the network will be all day, with a full schedule for the bus replacement service published by TfGM. An amended service pattern for the Metrolink has also been confirmed, details for both can be found below.

Replacement bus services
Two dedicated replacement bus services will operate on the day of the track repair works
- Chorlton – Victoria
- Deansgate - Piccadilly
Any valid tram ticket can be used for travel on replacement buses. If using contactless, tap-in on stop at the start of your journey and board the replacement bus when needed. Remember to tap-out on stop at the end of your journey. The full timetable for the replacement bus services can be found on the TfGM website.
