Many significant roads and routes dissect Manchester and the surrounding area. Major motorways take motorists to and from the city, and A roads venture out into all corners of Greater Manchester.
With many of these roads being busy on a daily basis, it’s fair to say journeys do get delayed and congestion can be bad depending on when you’re on the road. Using fresh data, we’ve compiled a gallery of the most congested roads in Manchester.
The data was taken by the UK Government, and the stats have been compiled by Cromwell Trucks and Online Marketing Surgery have created their Road Delay Report.
It looks at how many seconds a vehicle is held up per mile travelled on average in 2023. Our gallery includes motorways and major A roads around Manchester, with the second section of 10 photos being local A roads within the city.
