Two lanes were closed on the M60 for around 2 hours earlier today. The lanes were closed in the anti-clockwise direction of the motorway. The road was closed between junctions 11 and 10.

On social media, National Highways said: “Lanes 2 and 3 are CLOSED on the #M60 anti clockwise between J11 #Eccles and J10 #TraffordPark due to an infrastructure defect. National Highways Service providers are on scene.”

They added that motorists should allow for an extra 20 minutes on their journeys. Shortly before 1pm National Highways updated their Twitter to say the road had fully reopened, but that motorists should expect delays.
