Thousands of fans will head to Co-op Live to see them, over a year after they were first announced for the venue. To help get people home after the gig, TransPennine Express have announced an extra late train will run.  The train operator has announced a service will depart Manchester Victoria at 12.25am on Friday September 13. This should give fans extra time to get back into the city centre after the gig.  The service will run through to Liverpool Lime Street, where it will arrive at 1.03am. Stops along the way include Newton-le-Willows and Lea Green.

Tickets for this journey start at around £5.60 for a single and can be bought through the TransPennine Express website. There is also a service that departs Victoria for Lime Street at 11.25pm which should also give fans enough time to get to.

The announcement of the extra Jonas Brothers train comes following the publication of TransPennine express data. The survey showed that people thought Manchester was the second-best city in the UK to see gigs, with Leeds at number one.

Kathryn O’Brien, Customer Experience & Transformation Director at TransPennine Express, said “It’s really important we help our customers head home from concerts so they can enjoy Manchester’s music scene. As the survey shows, the city is a hotspot for people travelling to shows and we’re pleased to be able to offer this extra service. We’re reminding our customers to plan ahead and of course enjoy the brothers playing their music.”
