England’s Men’s team are in action at Old Trafford tonight - here’s how often the trams will be running

England’s Men’s team will be in Euro 2024 qualifier action at Old Trafford tonight when they welcome North Macedonia to manchester. The match is the first men’s game to take place at Old Trafford in 16 years. 

With the transport network set to be busy, Transport for Greater Manchester has issued advice and information ahead of the match. Services will be busy, and TfGM has advised people to plan ahead.

Ahead of the match, here’s all you need to know about which stops you can use for Old Trafford and when services will run. 

Before the match, there will be a six minute service on the Altricham line. Services on this line run through Manchester Piccadilly and to Bury. 

Manchester Metrolink stops for Old Trafford

There are several metrolink stops which are within close proximity to Old Trafford. The list includes the stop named Old Trafford.

Old Trafford by Bus

Several local bus services will bring you to within a good distance of Old Trafford. These are numbers 250, 255, 256, 263 and X50- information on each of these services can be found on the TfGM website. 

Walking

Old Trafford is located within a reasonable distance to some Manchester landmarks. Close by is Salford Quays, which could offer a good spot for a bite to eat or a drink before the game.
