Growing up in Wythenshawe with an Afro Caribbean hairstyle and dual heritage made Isaac fear he’d be rejected from the ballet profession.

The former Newall Green High School student had never even seen a ballet performance on stage before he was accepted onto CAT - a programme for exceptional young dancers - at The Lowry in Salford, at the age of 14.

Isaac is now working alongside some of the best known ballet companies in the world and is thrilled to be back in Manchester.

When confirmed as a company member for Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker! Isaac wrote on Instagram: “I watched this production at The Lowry the last time it was toured & it was that evening I knew, I NEEDED to become a dancer!
