The Queen made countless visits to Greater Manchester during her long reign.
Her Majesty most recently came to the city-region just last year, when she toured the Coronation Street set at MediaCity and visited Manchester Cathedral in July 2021.
Here, following the sad news of the Queen’s death, we look back at that memorable trip with a selection of pictures from the archives and remember fond memories of our monarch.
