Two areas of Greater Manchester have made it into The Sunday Times top places to live.

Prestwich and Altrincham have been named two of the best places to live in The Sunday Times Best Places to Live 2022.

It comes at a time when Prestwich is set to be transformed by a £100m scheme, including the redevelopment of the Longfield Centre.

The town makes its debut in the Best Places to Live list, thanks to a fast-improving roster of bars and restaurants.

Judges also said that Heaton Park is “probably Manchester’s best”, with the tram offering “a quick and easy route to the centre”.

We asked the people of the area what their favourite thing is about the town.
