The best restaurants for solo dining in Manchester as trend takes over TikTok including popular pizza spot

It’s something that a lot of us find awkward - heading out for a meal on our own. But new data shows the solo dining trend is soaring on TikTok - with 7.9million views and counting. 

For some, eating alone is a form of self-care, whilst many find themselves eating alone when travelling for business.

With the rising demand in mind, restaurant management system experts Dojo scoured Reddit for ‘solo dining recommendations’ and came back with two popular spots in Manchester. 

The Bank 

In a landmark building, the Mosley Street pub was noted to be particularly popular with regulars as its large in size and often not that busy, making it easy to grab a corner by yourself and eat while you read a book or go on your laptop.

Ply 

The Northern Quarter favourite is a go-to place for one reason of course - pizza. The name stands for "Pizza Loves You" after. An industrial interior, DJs, craft beers and cocktails complete an experience centred around a woodfired oven.

As well as recommending go-to places, Dojo handed out tips for those thinking of heading out solo dining. 

Start small, maybe with a coffee shop, take some form on entertainment, pick somewhere you feel comfortable, eat at the bar if you can as it’s more sociable and relax, you’re there to enjoy yourself!
