Fresh off the back of his debut release ‘Things Just Come and Go’ earlier this year, Alex Spencer has released a new single. The 14-year-old has become a popular performer on the streets of Manchester, through his time spent busking, we caught up with him to hear all about his new song called ‘The Morning Times’.

From busking on the streets to releasing his second single, 14 year old Alex Spencer is on a roll in his music career. His second single called ‘The Morning Times’, recently made it to no1. in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts.

He said: “It was really amazing.

“I ended up at number 1 in the iTunes singer/song writer charts, I was battling with Sam Fender but I got to number 1 in the end and I was really happy with that.”

Alex burst onto the scene during lockdown. His talent soon became apparent when he used social media to perform covers of his favourite bands, gaining praise from big names along the way.

Alex added: “I’ve had support from Jake Bugg, The Courteeners, The Lathums, The Lottery Winners and the Mayor of Greater Manchester retweeted and commented on my new music video.

“All the support is amazing, the fact that they’ve seen my videos and they recognise me, it’s good.”
