Manchester Aquatics Centre has officially reopened following a multi-million pound refurbishment. On July 13, Manchester City councillors and British Paralympic swimmer Grace Harvey celebrated the reopening of Manchester's iconic aquatic sports facility with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
The centre closed in November 2021 to undertake significant renovation to all swimming pools, the fitness suites including gyms and studios, cafe, health suite and changing rooms.

The refurbishment introduced new digital and sustainable technologies helping to make the centre more energy efficient and added a multitude of features to make swimming accessible for all in Manchester.
