Summer is coming: We asked Mancunians how much happier they feel now there is sunny weather in the UK

Summer is almost here and we asked Manchester residents how the brighter and longer days are boosting their mood, and what they are looking forward to over the next few months.

The weather is finally starting to heat up here in Manchester, and this weekend (May 20-21) we could see top temperatures reach 21 degrees celsius.

The dark skies and colder conditions have made the last few months feel like summer is avoiding the UK. Finally over the last few days there have been a few blue skies, and the sun can be seen poking through the clouds.

This has been lifting the moods of Manchester residents who have been seen gathering in beer gardens over the weekend and flocking to the city’s streets and green spaces. We asked Mancunians how they’re feeling about this change in the weather and what they’re looking forward to this summer.
