You can tell it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around parts of Greater Manchester when these stunning snow art works begin appearing on windows around the city-region.

They are the creations of Snow Graffiti, a talented Wigan dad, snow artist and former mechanic called Scott Wilcock who began to make these winter wonderland scenes five years ago. Since then demand for the artwork has grown rapidly and Scott’s handiwork can now regularly be seen at homes and businesses far and wide.

He started creating art made of fake snow around Christmastime and popular designs include beautiful wintry scenes featuring small, rustic hamlets and animals in the snow as well as popular festive characters such as The Snowman. More modern aspects of the celebrations, such as the Coca Cola Christmas truck made famous by the TV advertising campaign, have also been requested.

If you want a festive scene on your window you will have to move early as Scott says he is now usually fully booked to create the snow art pieces from around mid-October.

It’s not just Christmas designs that Snow Graffiti has become renowned for, though. Scott’s snow art technique has been used to create brilliantly spooky Halloween murals, and he has also done everything from spraying messages and images around mental health onto a window at a shopping centre to airbrushing a huge image of Euro-winning Lioness Ella Toone on the wall of a pub in her home town of Tyldesley.

Here are 11 images showing Scott’s beautiful snow art.
