The average annual household income for Manchester’s wealthiest neighbourhood is more than £67,000, according to new data.
Didsbury Village takes the honour as the city’s 'richest' area according to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). They show the disparities between the haves and have-nots in Manchester with Moss Side West coming out as the area with the lowest average annual household income of just under £30,000.
The latest figures were published by the ONS in October 2023 and cover the financial year ending in 2020. Below are the 20 wealthiest areas of Manchester based on the data.
1. Didsbury Village
In Didsbury Village, the average annual household income was £67,100 in 2020, according to the latest figures published by the Office for National Statistics in October 2023. That’s the highest in the Manchester area.
2. Chorlton South
In Chorlton South, the average annual household income was £57,400 in 2020, according to the latest figures published by the Office for National Statistics in October 2023.
3. East Didsubury
In East Didsbury, the average annual household income was £56,000 in 2020, according to the latest figures published by the Office for National Statistics in October 2023.
4. Beech Road & Chorlton Meadows
