The 20 richest areas of Manchester based on average household income including Didsbury, Chorlton and Ancoats

The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show the vast differences across the city.

The average annual household income for Manchester’s wealthiest neighbourhood is more than £67,000, according to new data. 

Didsbury Village takes the honour as the city’s 'richest' area according to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). They show the disparities between the haves and have-nots in Manchester with Moss Side West coming out as the area with the lowest average annual household income of just under £30,000. 

The latest figures were published by the ONS in October 2023 and cover the financial year ending in 2020. Below are the 20 wealthiest areas of Manchester based on the data.
