We took a look at the impact of the national rail strikes in Manchester city centre today.

Commuters were impacted by another day of rail strikes in Greater Manchester and across the country on Wednesday (27 July).

RMT members walked out in the latest day of action in an industrial dispute, meaning there were only very limited services in and out of Manchester Piccadilly to a few destinations.

The next day of strikes is planned for Saturday (30 July), with people being advised to avoid travel where possible.

We spoke to people in the city centre for their views.
